Dus Polett zenész, rádiós újságíró nyitja meg.

Megtekinthető 2009. október 10-ig,
keddtől-péntekig 12-18, szombaton 10-14 óra között.

Szarka Andrea textiltervező. Munkáiban visszaköszönnek az indonéz textilfestés sajátosságai, a batikolás technikáját használva festi a selymeit. Maga a technika teljes odafigyelést, koncentrációt, biztos kezet, és pontos mozdulatokat igényel, így a textilek egyfajta meditatív állapot folyamán készülnek.

A kiállításon látható selymek témája a kert, az ott felmerülő motívumok. Színek és minták egyszerűségével, tisztaságával mutatja meg amit lát, és leginkább szeret a kertből. A sok organikus mintát, időnkét egyszerű mértani formákkal ellensúlyozza.

Szarka Andi hite szerint egyszerű és átlagos textileket készít, melyek részükké válhatnak mindennapi életünknek, együtt élhet velük elhasználódhat, és a textil sorsa szerint elmúlik. A kiállításon ezért egyszerű használati tárgyak láthatók: párnák, függönyök, sálak, amelyek egy hagyományos technika és egy modern gondolkodás találkozásaként születtek.
